Although there is some video noise, the picture quality is generally acceptable. The scenes with Sapphire and Steel waiting in what seems to be a large, dark hall are perhaps the poorest but are watchable. Its slightly better than the VHS release but does not really offer much incentive for anyone still reluctant to leave VHS behind.

The sound quality is reasonable. The soundtrack is in its original mono, but the main thing is that the both the score and the sound effects are very effective. Cyril Ornadel scores the incidental music for this story. One particular piece that stands out is a zither-like tune which accompanies the changeling as he wanders around the capsule.

In short - an acceptable transfer and soundtrack, but it could be better! Overall, I would rate the sound and picture quality at 75%

The extras are not only quite basic, they are fairly static. To put it simply, all you get are a series of transribed notes with the odd still (and some of those aren't relevant to the story). Overall, I would rate the extras at 25%.

Rothwyn wakes up and begins her daily chores, reporting to a hidden camera as she carries out her routine. Although it is clearly the present day outside it becomes clear that Rothwyn, Eldred (her husband) and their child, are strangers to that time period. It is also clear that some threat is waiting in the wings. Feather pillows become objects to fear - either by trying to suffocate those within the capsule or attacking Steel as he explores the exterior. Meat conjures up images of the original animal on its way to slaughter.
